The first assembly hour for 2003 was held on the 23rd of April in Koyama Hall with guest speaker and previous world champion boxer Takanori Hatakeyama. Hatakeyama said that to him, boxing is something to be done in one's youth, but even now in his new role, that sense of devotion to boxing still remains within him. He finished his talk by telling students that he hoped they had big dreams, dreams that would make others smile.
