By taking this course, students will learn about analytical methods and concepts used in quantitative social science and become able to use them to examine issues in international politics.

この科目を履修することで、学生は国際政治の研究に用いられるビッグデータの分析手法や概念を習得し、それらを用いて国際政治のイシュー分析を行えるようになります。

Japan's International Relations

By taking this course, students will learn about the modern history of Japan-US relations and become able to analyze Japan’s contemporary international relations from a historical perspective.

この科目を履修することで、学生は近現代の日米関係の歴史を理解できるようになり、現代日本の国際関係について歴史的視点から分析できるようになります。

International Environmental Politics

By taking this course, students will learn the concepts and frameworks necessary for understanding international environmental politics and become able to use them in analyzing contemporary environmental politics issues.

この科目を履修することで、学生は国際政治の現場における環境をめぐる動向を理解するために必要な理論や概念を習得し、それらを用いた国際環境の政治分析を行えるようになります。

Introduction to Economics

By taking this course, students will learn the basic theoretical frameworks of economics about the behavior of economic actors, growth and fluctuation of GDP and cross-border economic transactions, and will become able to use them to analyze economic situations in the world.

この科目を履修することで、学生は経済主体の行動、GDPの形成・変動、国際経済取引の仕組み等に関する経済学理論の基礎を理解し、それらを用いて世界経済の動向を分析できるようになります。

International Business Case Studies

By taking this course, students will learn fundamental international business skills, such as how to prepare English-language business proposals and design marketing strategies.

この科目を履修することで、学生は国際ビジネスに関する英語のビジネス提案書やマーケティング戦略の立て方について学び、国際的なビジネススキルの基本を身につけます。

Development Studies

By taking this course, students will learn about development. We will look at why some places develop faster than others. Therefore, students are expected to learn about the conditions that are necessary for development, as well as the conditions that make development difficult.

この科目を履修することで、学生は開発について学ぶことができます。ある場所が他の場所よりも早く発展するのはなぜかを見ていきます。したがって、学生は開発に必要な条件と、開発を困難にする条件について学ぶことが期待されます。

East Asian International Political Economy

By taking this course, students will learn about the political and economic connections between different countries in East Asia. By using the idea of political economy, students are expected to understand the issues facing the states and citizens of East Asia.

この科目を履修することで、東アジアのさまざまな国の政治的・経済的なつながりについて学ぶことができます。政治経済の考え方を用いることで、東アジアの国家や市民が直面している問題を理解することが期待されます。

Introduction to Sociology

By taking this course, students will learn the basic theoretical frameworks and concepts of sociology and become able to use them to understand and analyze a range of different situations and relationships.

この科目を履修することで、学生は貧困や格差、アイデンティティや差別に関する社会学の概念や理論について学び、それらを用いた事例分析を行えるようになります。

International Communication

By taking this course, students will learn fundamental concepts and frameworks for understanding communication processes and will also engage in practical work to improve their communication skills. By studying an analytical method called Conversation Analysis from sociology, students are expected learn the basic features and structure of conversation.

異なる文化的背景や目的を持った人々が関わる国際コミュニケーションを円滑にするための手法や会話データの分析方法について学びます。コミュニケーションを理解するための分析手法「会話分析」の基礎的な概念や枠組みについて学習しつつ、シミュレーションや実際のデータ分析を通じて、自身のコミュニケーションスキルの向上を目指します。

Globalization Case Studies

By taking this course, students will learn concepts and perspectives necessary for thinking critically about global phenomena such as production/consumption and human mobility, and will become able to use these for thinking about different kinds of world futures.

この科目を履修することで、学生は「生産と消費」や「人の移動」などグローバルに連関する現象を批判的に検討して、世界の人々の未来について構想する力を鍛えます。

Human Security

By taking this course, students will understand how and why the concept of Human Security was developed, and will become able to discuss how the concept can be applied to help people in crises such as environmental degradation and armed conflict.

この科目を履修することで、「人間の安全保障」概念がどのように、そしてなぜ生まれたのかを理解し、環境の悪化や武力紛争など、危機に瀕した人々を助けるためにこの概念がどのように適用できるかを議論できるようになります。

Contemporary Asian History

By taking this course, students will gain an understanding of the contemporary history of Asia and will become able to engage in analysis of current situations and issues from Asian and Western standpoints.

この科目を履修することで、学生はアジア現代史について理解を深め、またアジアおよび欧米の視点からアジアの現状を分析できるようになります。

Modern Japanese History

By taking this course, students will learn about the modern historical transformations of Japan, focusing on nation-state formation, imperialism, and modernization, and will become able to analyze today’s situations and relationships from a historical perspective.

この科目を履修することで、学生は産業化や都市化、国民国家化や帝国主義といった近代的な事象が日本という現場においてどのように展開したのかを理解し、歴史学的な視点からの分析を展開できるようになります。
