交換留学生がすみれ幼稚園児と一緒に芋ほり体験
10月21日、交換留学生5名が京都産業大学附属すみれ幼稚園の園児たちと一緒に芋ほりに参加しました。日本の私立幼稚園を訪問し、日本の幼児教育を体験する貴重な機会でした。交換留学生は土を掘って、園児たちが土の中に埋まっている芋を見つけられるように手助けしました。芋ほりに参加した留学生は香港、台湾、フランスとカナダ出身です。
秋学期、交換留学生のイベントは学生が主催する餅つきパーティ、紅葉狩り、クリスマスパーティ、そして国際交流センター主催のディベートコンテストなどです。

Exchange students dig in with kindergarten friends
5 exchange students participated in a sweet potato digging (imohori) excursion with Kyoto Sangyo University’s Sumire Kindergarten children on October 21. This was a rare opportunity for exchange students to visit a Japanese private kindergarten and experience kindergarten education in Japan. The exchange students additionally proved their worth by ‘digging in’ and helping the children discover what lay beneath. Exchange students who came to the potato digging are from Hong Kong, Taiwan, France and Canada.
Other events for exchange students this semester include a mochi party, autumn leaf watching and Christmas party organized by student groups as well as a debate contest organized by the Center for International Programs.
