I will discuss a novel dark matter candidate, which can arise within the standard model itself, without going beyond, acting as a topological soliton/skyrmion (called "dark-standard model-skyrmion"), stabilized by a dynamically generated "rho meson" in the nonperturbative standard model. This talk will be based on a recently posted paper, 1608.03691, and will start from the basic ingredients on the skyrmion and the related extensions.
