達人言語教師：言語教師の知識とスキルについて調査しています。さらに、言語教師がどのような目標設定をして達人のレベルに近づくのか、ということを分析しています。
言語教師認知：言語教師の思考・知識・信念について、さらにその基となる要因は何なのか、ということを調査しています。
英語教育法：言語習得に関する学生の認知プロセスについて、質的研究手法を使い分析しています。
Expertise in L2 teaching: I research about knowledge and skills exhibited by L2 teachers. I also examine how they achieve higher levels of expertise by setting goals and working towards them.
Language teacher cognition: I research about L2 teacher cognition, including what they think, know, and believe. Furthermore, I examine factors that influence their cognition.
TESOL: I analyze students’ cognitive processing during the process of L2 acquisition by using qualitative methods of inquiry.

大学時代に、アメリカの大学に約１年間の留学をしました。その際、異なった言語や文化背景を持った人と拙いながらも英語でコミュニケーションを図ることで、英語を学ぶ・使うことの楽しみを経験しました。大学卒業後、他の人にも英語の楽しさを伝えたいと、英語の教師になることを決めました。現在は、主に言語教師について研究をしています。
I experienced study abroad for a year at an American university while I was a university student in Japan. I learned the joy of communicating with people of different linguistic and cultural backgrounds during my study abroad. After I graduated from university, I decided to become an English teacher because I wanted to share the joy of communicating in English with others. Now I research about L2 teachers.

言語を学習することはゴールではなく手段です。言語の知識やスキルを使って、世界を様々な視野から知ることやかけがえのない人間関係を築くことなど、自分の人生をより豊かなものへとしてください。
Learning a language is not a goal but a means to make your life richer. By building knowledge and skills in a foreign language, you can learn about the world from various perspectives and build meaningful relationships with others.
