Career-formation support program

KSU offers a unique career-formation support program based on the concept of integrating students’ on-campus (scholastic) and offcampus (field-based) studies to encourage a thorough understanding of one’s core abilities and, in so doing, help students progress in school and choose a career (see left diagram). Field-based studies help students to understand what issues they are faced with and furthermore they boost students' motivation for their scholastic pursuits.

At KSU, by infusing that knowledge into other areas of the educational environment, we promote integration and solid development of character-based “human” skills, systematic conceptual thinking skills, and specialized as well as practical technical skills, leading to core individual capabilities (see left diagram). Toward this end KSU offers courses starting in the freshman year that help students to clarify their views on work and life. Support is also provided in other ways to enable students to find a career path of their own, enabling their individuality and autonomy to grow so that they can turn their dreams into reality.
