Seventh Heaven at Sumire Kindergarten

Seven exchange students from Taiwan, China, Australia and Germany spent an energy filled morning with the children at KSU’s Sumire kindergarten. The students taught the children “good morning” and “thank you” in their home languages and answered questions about food, trains and other fun topics. In return, the children sang songs to the exchange students and taught them the actions.

Rei chan, who is studying education in her home University, said that it was great to see the similarities between a Japanese kindergarten and those she knows in Taiwan.
Sandra was surprised to see that the design of the kindergarten was of German flavor.
The children fondly remembered Alex from Australia who joined a similar visit in June last year.
Zhang chan Tang kun from China made the children very happy saying that their singing was “Subarashikatta” and “Totemo Jouzu deshita”. Simple words with huge impact.
Tan Ying (Tantan) really connected with the children with her warm smile and Chengchao kun (Sherlock) was like a friendly giant with the children during the janken steam train game.
Today will surely be a fond memory for the exchange students and children.

More visits are planned in the new academic year.
