Subjects to be taught	The Japanese Economy, The Introductory Japanese Economy, Other Subject based on Applicant’s Specialization, Tutorial Classes.

Qualifications	Ph.D. or equivalent in academic research accomplishment Capable of conducting educational and research activities that uphold the founding ideals, principles and values of Kyoto Sangyo University. Willing to take on responsibility for student supervision, official university duties, and faculty management when requested Proficient in the Japanese language Must reside in Kyoto City or surrounding areas at the start of employment term
Commencement date	April 1, 2019.
Status and terms of Employment	Status: Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor (Jokyo). ※At the assistant professor level, a new faculty member is given a term appointment for a fixed non-renewable term of up to five years. (However, promotion to tenure-track Associate Professor position may be considered based on the academic work during the contract.) Terms of employment: Salary and additional allowances will be paid according to the university’s salary structure.

Selection procedure	The first round: Selection by application materials. The second round: An interview and demonstration lesson. *Two letters of recommendation (free or non-customized format) are required if you are invited for the second round of the selection procedure. Each letter should include the name and signature of the referee, job title, contact information, and their relationship to the applicant. The third round: A final interview conducted by the university executive board.
Notification of the result	Mid-August, 2018.
