Polish exchange student teaches class.
In October 2009 Kyoto Sangyo University concluded an agreement with Adam Mickiewicz University in Poland and received three exchange students from April 2010. One of them, Ms. Marta Wesolowska, who is a graduate student and belongs to the Graduate School of Foreign Language in KSU, is currently in charge of a specialized class gPolish T-T&T-Uh as a part time teacher.
Marta studied at Kyoto University for a year as a Japanese Government Scholarship Student and passed level 1 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. She can speak English and German fluently as well as Japanese.
It is hoped that the experience of teaching here at KSU will aid her own research as well as provide KSU students with a unique opportunity to study about Poland and its language. The number of students attending Polish language classes has increased largely from this year indicating greater awareness and interest by KSU@students.
