Exchange students dig in with kindergarten friends

5 exchange students participated in a sweet potato digging (imohori) excursion with Kyoto Sangyo Universityfs Sumire Kindergarten children on October 21. This was a rare opportunity for exchange students to visit a Japanese private kindergarten and experience kindergarten education in Japan. The exchange students additionally proved their worth by edigging inf and helping the children discover what lay beneath.@Exchange students who came to the potato digging are from Hong Kong, Taiwan, France and Canada.
Other events for exchange students this semester include a mochi party, autumn leaf watching and Christmas party organized by student groups as well as a debate contest organized by the Center for International Programs.
