As to International Business Transactions, I have been researching the law, legal systems, business practices and cultures of different jurisdictions and the relationships among them. I am also interested in the legal changes that have resulted from globalization and changes in the world order, especially in the emerging market economies, the former emerging market economies and developing countries.
As to American Law and Anglo-American Law, as I am a lawyer and member of the California State Bar Association, my research tends to focus on practical and topical issues. As to all three areas, I have also been studying dispute resolution. Most importantly for prospective students, much of what I research depends on my students’ particular interests. In many of my classes we study topics based on the students’ interests and I conduct research accordingly.
