The Faculty of Science

Admission Policy

We admit people with a different background as below:

  1. People who are interested in communicating in English and want to use it in his or her future profession
  2. People who want to share what they have learned or discovered in science with people all over the world

Curriculum Policy

We offer education as below in addition to specialized education in the Faculty of Science.

  1. To develop the ability of of expressing ideas in English
  2. To learn about Japanese culture and to recognize and accept various cultures
  3. To acquire a spirit that rises to challenges and an identity that is actively involved in the global community

Diploma Policy

We certify students as below as having completed the course.

  1. To have fundamental knowledge in a specialized field of science
  2. To have the ability to express ideas in English
  3. To recognize the common ground and differences between Japanese and other cultures and to have the flexibility to understand and accept cultural diversity
  4. To have a spirit that rises to challenges and an identity that fights against adversity.

Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering

Admission Policy

We admit people who will be actively and globally involved in a field useful for real society in future or will be interested in pioneering a globally new field of information science.
People who have a sufficiently good command of English for business or research outside Japan, spirits that rise to challenges, and a broad knowledge of liberal arts in addition to the requirements of our admission policy.

Curriculum Policy

We offer education to students who have a high command of English, spirits that rise to challenges, and broad knowledge in addition to specialized education in the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering. In addition to the curriculum policy of our faculty:

  • Helps students acquire the ability to understand and produce English, based on logical thinking and terminology
  • Develops the willingness to take on unknown fields, not worry about failing through internships or study abroad programs
  • Educates students in Japanese and other cultures and enhances the ability of intercultural communication

Diploma Policy

We certify students who bring fundamental knowledge and skills of information science, reliable language ability, a spirit that rises to challenges in a global society and a broad knowledge of liberal arts as having completed the course.
We offer education as below in addition to our diploma policy in the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering.

  • To have a good enough command of English to read technical documents and to present and discuss the research content
  • To have a powerful intention that cannot be imitated
  • To understand Japanese culture well and to respect and understand other cultures

The Faculty of Life Science

Admission Policy

We admit people with a different background as below:

  1. People who want to work in the international arena
  2. People with spirits that rise to challenges and who will be a pioneer in the new field of life science
  3. People who want to enter a graduate school

Curriculum Policy

We offer education as below in addition to the specialized education in the Faculty of Life Sciences.

  1. To enhance communication skills (English proficiency and the ability to express ideas)
  2. To cultivate the capacity and flexibility to recognize and understand the common ground and differences between Japanese and other cultures
  3. To enhance spirits that rise to challenges to work in the international arena

Diploma Policy

We certify students who can discuss problems with foreign people, using English, which is the lingua franca in life science, as having completed the course.
