The 'Promotion Collaboration Office' was established on April 1, 2005. The office promotes collaborations with institutions of elementary and secondary education, the local community, and administrative agencies (school boards, etc.). Students, faculty and administrative staff are involved in the activities of the office.
Collaboration with educational institutes
Elementary school students are invited to take classes at the university as part of their studies, and junior high school students to gain work experience at the university. We also implement collaborative projects between the university and high school students.
Collaboration with administrative agencies (school boards, etc.)
A collaboration agreement has been signed with the school boards of Kyoto Prefecture, Kyoto City, Nagaokakyo City, Osaka Prefecture, Neyagawa City, Settsu City, Higashi-Osaka City, Yasu City, and Ritto City. In order to develop education and research on both sides, and properly respond to educational issues, we carry out the exchange of human and intellectual resources by dispatching our teachers and students to the affiliated schools.

Collaboration with the local community
Our university is implementing a lifelong learning program in order to contribute to enhancing education and culture in the local community by disclosing the education programs and researches of our university.
There are courses for city residents of Kyoto which have been offered for 29 years: Cultural courses, and a course for cross-cultural exchange which aims to understand mutual cultures and customs between the foreign students studying in our university and the people who attend the courses.
We also offer sports courses such as horse riding, jogging, and archery.
In addition, 'Saturday Jamboree' programs are held in early summer and autumn when our campus is open to the public. A variety of programs are conducted such as a movie show in Koyama Hall, a PC class held by student staff, and the opening of the library and the gymnasium. People from the local community, including elementary and junior high school students, enjoy the jamboree and what is offered at KSU.
