What you can study on YAP

YAP students are able to register for up to 8 classes per semester. These 8 classes may include a combination of Japanese language classes and Japanese or English taught academic classes.

Japanese Language Classes

Japanese language classes are offered at 6 levels from upper beginner through to advanced. Students can take four 90min classes a week and add more at higher or lower levels to further develop their individual skills. (dependent on availability and teacher discretion)

Academic Classes

YAP students may enroll in faculty taught academic classes dependent on the student’s proficiency in the language in which classes are taught. Academic classes deepen the students' experience with valuable insights into Japanese history, culture, religion, sociology, politics, economics, management, literature, foreign policy, ODA, etc.
